Legal Documents and Information

A set of legal documents for each Lot will be available for inspection at our Lancaster office.  There will be an additional charge of £20.00 if the legal documents need to be photocopied or sent to your Solicitor.

 

Fall Of The Hammer

At the fall of the Auctioneer's hammer you will be legally bound to sign and exchange contracts on the night.

 

Deposit Money

Please note that cash deposits are not accepted.  However, personal cheques, company cheques and bankers drafts are acceptable.

 

Cheques for 10% of the purchase price need to be made payable to the vendors solicitor.

 

Identification

If you are the successful bidder, you will be asked to provide identification.  Please bring to the auction one of the following :- driving licence, passport or utility bill.

In most circumstances it is possible for us to receive bids over the telephone in the auction room. You will need to forward a cheque to us for 10% of your maximum bid, made payable to the vendors solicitor before the auction commences. Proxy Bidding

You can authorise the Auctioneer or a third party to bid on your behalf up to your specified limit. You will need to provide us with a cheque for 10 % of your highest bid, made payable to the purchasers solicitor before the auction commences. You will also need to sign the proxy bid form

 

Sales Prior To Auction and Withdrawn Lots

The Auctioneer has the right to sell Lots or withdraw Lots without giving reasons at any time before the sale begins.  You should contact the Lancaster office before the Auction to check whether any Lots have been sold or withdrawn.
